Poke bowls have always been one of our favourite meals to order, but we wanted to recreate those fresh, vibrant flavours at home without needing sushi-grade fish. That’s exactly how these Bang Bang Salmon Rice Bowls came to be, and they’ve quickly become a regular in our weekly dinner rotation.

What we love most about this recipe is how fresh every bite tastes. Flaky air-fried salmon, crisp vegetables, fluffy rice, and a creamy bang bang sauce come together to create a bowl that’s packed with flavour while using ingredients we usually already have in our kitchen.

Bang Bang Salmon Rice Bowls

These Bang Bang Salmon Rice Bowls are a quick, protein-packed dinner that's ready in just 20 minutes. Crispy air-fried salmon is served over fluffy jasmine rice with fresh vegetables and tossed in a sweet, spicy bang bang sauce for the perfect balance of flavor and texture. It's an easy weeknight meal that's healthy, satisfying, and packed with fresh ingredients.

Ingredients
  

Bowls

  • 100 g jasmine rice uncooked
  • 3 small salmon fillets about 300 g total, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic herb seasoning
  • ½ English cucumber diced
  • 1 medium carrot julienned
  • 1 ripe avocado diced
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 20 g light mayonnaise
  • 5 g sriracha
  • 5 g hot honey
  • Pinch of salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the jasmine rice according to the package directions.
  • Season the cubed salmon with salt, pepper, and garlic herb seasoning. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • While the salmon cooks, dice the cucumber and avocado, julienne the carrot, and slice the green onions.
  • Stir together the light mayonnaise, sriracha, hot honey, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Divide the rice evenly between two bowls. Top with the salmon, cucumber, carrot, avocado, and drizzle with the bang bang sauce.
  • Garnish with the green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
