Easy Pork Dumplings
There are few meals that feel as rewarding as homemade dumplings, and this easy pork dumpling recipe proves they’re much simpler to make than you might think. Filled with a savoury mixture of seasoned ground pork, fresh vegetables, and aromatics, these dumplings are packed with flavour and come together with just a handful of everyday ingredients.
One of our favourite things about this recipe is how versatile it is. You can pan-fry the dumplings for crispy golden bottoms, steam them for a softer bite, or even cook them using a combination of both for the best of both worlds. They’re perfect as an appetizer, a quick weeknight dinner, or even meal prep since they freeze beautifully before cooking.
Making dumplings at home is also a great activity to do with family or friends. Once the filling is mixed together, everyone can help fold the wrappers, making the process just as enjoyable as the meal itself. Don’t worry if your folds aren’t perfect either. Every dumpling has its own personality, and they’ll taste just as delicious.
We love serving these pork dumplings with a simple dipping sauce made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili crisp, and green onions, but they’re equally delicious with your favourite store-bought dumpling sauce. Pair them with steamed rice, cucumber salad, or a bowl of miso soup for a complete meal.
Whether you’re making dumplings for the first time or adding another recipe to your collection, this one is approachable, full of flavour, and guaranteed to become a household favourite. Once you realize how easy homemade dumplings can be, you’ll want to keep a batch stocked in your freezer for those busy days when you need a quick, satisfying meal.
