Taco Bowls

Crisp romaine, seasoned taco beef, fresh vegetables, crunchy tortilla chips, creamy guacamole, and a zesty lime cilantro crema come together for a quick, satisfying dinner that's perfect for busy weeknights. Taco Beef
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Bowl
- 2 romaine hearts chopped
- 2 Roma tomatoes diced
- 1/2 red onion finely diced
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
- 1 cup guacamole
- Fresh cilantro chopped
- Sliced jalapeƱos or your favourite peppers
Lime Cilantro Crema
- 20 g light mayonnaise
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease if needed.
Season the beef with the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another minute until everything is evenly coated.
In a small bowl, whisk together the light mayonnaise, lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Divide the chopped romaine between four serving bowls.
Top with the seasoned taco beef, diced tomatoes, red onion, shredded cheddar, crushed tortilla chips, guacamole, chopped cilantro, and sliced jalapeƱos.
Finish with a generous drizzle of the lime cilantro crema and serve immediately.
