These Maple Glazed Carrots are made by sautéing halved carrots in butter until tender, then coating them in brown sugar and pure maple syrup to create a glossy glaze. Fresh parsley adds the perfect finishing touch for a side dish that's both simple and impressive.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 full-size carrots
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Remove the tops from the carrots and cut each carrot in half lengthwise.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add carrots and cook for 12-15 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
  • Add brown sugar and maple syrup.
  • Toss until the carrots are coated and the glaze becomes glossy.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
